While Sumter County has three (3) voting representatives allocated on the Lake-Sumter Metropolitan Planning Organization (LSMPO) Governing Board, two (2) shall be members of the Sumter County Board of County Commissioners and one (1) shall be a Sumter County municipal representative serving on a rotating basis as determined by a majority of the five municipalities in Sumter County.
