Main Switchboard Sample Clauses

Main Switchboard. Demonstrate the operation of all circuit breakers and all equipment in the main switchboard. For the generator breaker and the shore power breaker, safely demonstrate all mechanical and electrical interlocks. Demonstrate the following features of the switchboard: • Generator power available lights • Voltage regulator control rheostat • Speed control rheostat • Voltmeters and selector switches • Ammeters and selector switches • Frequency meter and selector switch • Wattmeter • Multifunctional amp, volt, and xxxx transducers. • Space heaters • Test Switch For shore power operation, demonstrate the ability of the switchboard to monitor the following: • Shore power available light • Voltmeter • Ammeter • Frequency meter • Phase sequence/loss system Demonstrate the ground detection features in the switchboard for: • 240/120 volt AC system – lights, ammeter, and test switch.

Main Switchboard. Switchboards connect and disconnect generators and consumers to the main power supply system. Another important function is the protection of generator and consumers against overload and short circuits. This latter is not included in these models. Figure 42 shows a typical IMTECH marine switchboard installation.
