Common use of MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC Clause in Contracts

MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC. The contractor shall be responsible for the proper maintenance, control, and detour of traffic in the area of construction during the course of construction. All traffic control and maintenance procedures shall be in accordance with the requirements of Volusia County or the Florida Department of Transportation “Manual of Traffic Control of Safe Practices for Streets and Highway Construction, Maintenance, and Utility Operations.” It shall be the contractor’s responsibility, as bidder, prior to submitting its bid, to determine these requirements so that its proposal reflects all costs to be incurred. No claims for additional payment will be considered for costs incurred in the proper maintenance, control, detour, and protection of traffic.
