Mandatory Assessment and Treatment. 16 1. Employees who are disciplined for conduct which is related to the 17 use of alcohol or drugs may be required to undergo assessment and to complete a 18 program of education and/or treatment prescribed by a Substance Abuse Professional 19 selected by the County. Employees who test positive for alcohol or controlled 20 substances will be required to undergo assessment at the earliest opportunity, 21 regardless of whether disciplinary action has been taken.
