Maternity Leave of Absence Without Pay. 18 11.4.1 Maternity leave of absence without pay or benefits shall be granted upon request 19 to non-disabled probationary and permanent female unit members for that period 20 of time necessary for the unit member to prepare for and recover from the effects 21 of child birth.
