Common use of Meals and meal periods Clause in Contracts

Meals and meal periods. for unscheduled hours worked either before or after a normally scheduled shift (shift extension) shall be as follows: a) The meal period will start ninety (90) minutes prior to the regularly scheduled beginning of a shift; the meal will be paid at the Eighty Two point Five percent rate (82.5%) as listed in Schedule“A” . b) The meal period will be ninety (90) minutes after the end of a regularly scheduled shift. Working beyond the start of this meal period will entitle the employee to a meal paid at the Eighty Two point Five percent rate (82.5%) as listed in Schedule“A” rate. c) All succeeding shift meal periods will be in six (6) hour increments and will be paid at the Eighty Two point Five percent rate (82.5%) as listed in Schedule“A”rate.
