Medical Records Retention. Grantee will; a. retain medical records in accordance with 22 TAC §165.1(b) or other applicable statutes, rules and regulations governing medical information. b. retain and preserve records in accordance with applicable state and federal statutes, rules and regulations. c. maintain all non-financial records that are generated or collected by Grantee under the provisions of this Contract for a period of at least seven years after the termination of this Contract. d. retain the records in accordance with the federal retention period, if the federal retention period for services funded through Medicaid is more than seven years e. retain all records pertaining to this Contract that are the subject of litigation or an audit until the litigation has ended or all questions pertaining to the audit are resolved.
