Common use of Medicine expenses Clause in Contracts

Medicine expenses. The insurance covers reasonable expenses for self-pay- ment of prescription medicines in direct connection with a coverable procedure at a treatment centre designated by us. The medicine must be prescribed by the attending medical specialist and be necessary for the procedure performed. Medicine expenses are covered for up to 6 months from the date of the procedure. Costs for over- the-counter medicine are not covered. This also applies if the medicine is available both on prescription and over the counter.
