Common use of Meeting Request Clause in Contracts

Meeting Request. The Union and the Village agree that in the interest of efficient management and harmonious employee relations, it is desirable that meetings be held if mutually agreed between Union Officers and responsible administrative representatives of the Village which may include the Chief, his designee, or other officials as the Village shall determine. Such meetings may be requested by either party at least seven (7) days in advance by placing in writing a request to the other for a “Labor- Management Conference” and expressly providing the agenda for such meeting if requested by either party. Such meetings shall be limited to: 1. discussion on the implementation and general administration of this Agreement; 2. a sharing of general information of interest to the parties; 3. discussion concerning safety issues affecting employees.
