Meeting scheduling and Meeting room access control Sample Clauses

Meeting scheduling and Meeting room access control. ‌ This test group involves the scheduling of meetings for the meeting room and the conditioning of the room right before the start of the meeting, hence, the supply of comfortable environmental conditions. Further, the group performs tests concerning the meeting room access control. This involves the communication with legacy Building Automation Devices and a local Control and Monitoring System. Detailed explanation of this test group is given below. An employee plans a meeting using a Meeting Reservation Tool which uses a calendar for managing the room reservation. The Meeting Reservation Tool further configures access to the meeting room. For all attendees, the Meeting Reservation Tool therefore keeps a list of RFID tag values enabled for door access and belonging to a corresponding badge which is provided to meeting attendees at arrival time at the office entrance. The Meeting Reservation Tool constantly checks the calendar and if a meeting is going to be started in the next 15 minutes, the local Control and Monitoring System (CMS) of the Smart meeting room is contacted to activate HVAC devices ensuring a conditioned environment at the start of the meeting (goal: user comfort). The Local CMS activates the HVAC (i.e. heating) in order to provide the desired room conditions (Communication between Local CMS and IoT6 Multi-protocol Gateway to start HVAC). The employee (host of the meeting) uses his employee card to enter the meeting room. The Local CMS forwards the message to the Meeting Reservation Tool which checks the time and the identity and grants access to the meeting room. The visitor arrives and obtains a badge (with RFID tag) at the lobby and receives the information about the meeting room and how to get there. The visitor can walk there by him/herself and uses the badge to enter the meeting room. Again, the credentials have to be checked by the Meeting Reservation Tool before opening the door. The Meeting Reservation Tool can also keep track of the visitors attending the meeting.

Meeting scheduling and Meeting room access control. This test group involves the scheduling of meetings for the meeting room and the conditioning of the room for the meeting right before the start of the meeting, hence, the supply of comfortable environmental conditions (steps 1, 3). Further, the group covers tests concerning the meeting room access control (steps 2, and 4 - 6). This involves the communication with legacy building automation devices and a local Control and Monitoring System. This functionality and the associated interoperability should be tested together with the scheduling mechanism, as these processes are directly related with each other. • Employee enters new meeting in Meeting Reservation Tool. • Starting of room conditioning some time before scheduled meeting by Meeting Reservation Tool (SaaS) at Local CMS. • Communication between Local CMS and IoT6 Multi-protocol Gateway to start HVAC. • Sending of RFID message from legacy device to Local CMS. • Forwading of RFID message from Local CMS to Meeting Reservation Tool (SaaS). • Meeting Reservation Tool sends room access granted/not granted message to Local CMS. • Local CMS accesses legacy building automation device (door opener) to grant a person access to the room.

  • Network Access Control The VISION Web Site and the Distribution Support Services Web Site (the “DST Web Sites”) are protected through multiple levels of network controls. The first defense is a border router which exists at the boundary between the DST Web Sites and the Internet Service Provider. The border router provides basic protections including anti-spoofing controls. Next is a highly available pair of stateful firewalls that allow only HTTPS traffic destined to the DST Web Sites. The third network control is a highly available pair of load balancers that terminate the HTTPS connections and then forward the traffic on to one of several available web servers. In addition, a second highly available pair of stateful firewalls enforce network controls between the web servers and any back-end application servers. No Internet traffic is allowed directly to the back-end application servers. The DST Web Sites equipment is located and administered at DST’s Winchester data center. Changes to the systems residing on this computer are submitted through the DST change control process. All services and functions within the DST Web Sites are deactivated with the exception of services and functions which support the transfer of files. All ports on the DST Web Sites are disabled, except those ports required to transfer files. All “listeners,” other than listeners required for inbound connections from the load balancers, are deactivated. Directory structures are “hidden” from the user. Services which provide directory information are also deactivated.
