Common use of Membership Requirements Clause in Contracts

Membership Requirements. (a) Current Employees: Employees who were members of the Union on and after April 20, 1975 shall continue as members of the Union. Employees who were members of the bargaining unit on April 20, 1975, but who were not members of the Union on that date shall not be required to join the Union, but shall be required to pay any dues, fees or assessments to the Union.
