New Employees. The Employer agrees to acquaint new Employees with the fact that a Union Agreement is in effect.
New Employees. On or about the last day of each month, beginning with the month this Agreement becomes effective, the Board will submit to the Association a list of all employees who began their employment in a bargaining unit position during the preceding thirty (30) day period. The list will include names, job titles and dates of employment for all such employees.
New Employees. No additional employees required because of technological change shall be hired by the Employer until the employees affected are notified of the proposed technological change and allowed a training period to acquire the necessary knowledge or skill for retaining their employment.
New Employees. No Nurse outside the Bargaining Unit shall be employed until all those who have been laid-off have been given an opportunity for re-employment, up to the level of guaranteed hours before layoff, except where the Employer establishes the need to recruit those with special skills and/or qualifications.
New Employees. The anniversary date of a new employee is the first day of the calendar month after the calendar month when the employee successfully completes six (6) months service provided however, if an employee began work on the first regularly scheduled workday of the month the anniversary date is the first day of the calendar month when the employee successfully completes six (6) months service.
New Employees. (a) The Employer agrees that it will advise each newly hired employee of the Union security and check-off provisions provided in this Collective Agreement, and refer such employees to the Union for purposes of obtaining a Union card.
New Employees. The Union requests, in writing, an agency shop be implemented for all employees hired after a date to be agreed to by the Union and the Employee Relations Division.
New Employees. The Employer agrees to allow a representative of the Union as designated by the Bargaining Unit President, during her/his regular working hours to meet for a period of up to thirty (30) minutes, with newly hired employees during the general orientation period, which shall take place within the first month of their employment. On or before the commencement of her employment, the Employer will give to each new employee a copy of this collective agreement. The Employer will issue in advance to the representative designated by the Bargaining Unit President the names of all new hires and the time in the orientation schedule when the thirty (30) minute meeting will take place.
New Employees. At the time of hire, the Employer agrees to acquaint new employees with the fact that a Collective Agreement is in effect and with the conditions of employment as set out in the Articles dealing with Union Recognition, Security, Rights and Activities. The Employer further agrees to provide new employees with copies of the Collective Agreement and the names of the stewards. A xxxxxxx shall be advised of the date, time and place of orientation sessions for new employees in order that a xxxxxxx shall be given a reasonable opportunity to talk to new employees. Stewards will be advised of the names of the new employees hired. There shall be no deduction of wages and benefits because of time spent by the xxxxxxx during these sessions.
New Employees. The parties agree that any employee, whose work is covered by this agreement and who is engaged by the employer between the dates this collective agreement comes into effect and the expiry date shall be offered in writing the opportunity for this collective to apply to them. The new employee shall from the date of becoming a union member, be entitled to all the benefits, and be bound by all the obligations, under this collective agreement. Any new employee to whom this Collective applies by virtue of the operation of this sub clause shall be deemed covered by this agreement.
