Memorization. All music and text shall be memorized by the last Musical rehearsal with the Chorus Master, prior to the staging rehearsals. Failure to do so may result in progressive discipline. If a request is made by the AGMA Delegate on behalf of a majority of CHORISTERS for additional rehearsal time for the purposes of musical preparation, then EMPLOYER may in its sole discretion determine such additional rehearsal time is required for the purposes of the musical preparation of the CHORISTERS. In the event of additional rehearsal time, EMPLOYER and AGMA Delegate will mutually agree upon dates for additional rehearsal time. For the avoidance of doubt, EMPLOYER is not obligated pursuant to Article 15.E. to give two weeks’ advance notice to the CHORISTERS of the date scheduled for additional rehearsal time provided, however, that any CHORISTER who has a schedule conflict by reason of the addition shall not be penalized in any manner for absence from any portion of such added rehearsal. Notwithstanding the above, if EMPLOYER provides two weeks’ advance notice of the additional rehearsal time, then CHORISTER is required to attend and the failure to do so will be regarded as an unexcused absence unless otherwise permitted under Article 20.B.
