Mentor Tier Support. The Mentor Tier Support Program will consist of three tiers: extended, basic and minimum support. The extended support would include the mentoring of individuals, for up to four semesters, new to the profession, less than three years of experience or new to special education. The basic support would include the mentoring of individuals, for up to two semesters, new to the Cooperative, three plus years of experience working in schools and new to special education. The minimum support would include the mentoring of individuals, for up to one semester, who are either new to a program or a veteran licensed professional, not new to special education.
