The relationship is time limited and focused on goal achievement. Orientation to the organization or general functioning of the unit does not constitute mentorship. During the consultation process, the Director of Care will review the mentor’s workload with the mentor and the mentee to facilitate successful completion of the mentoring assignment. The Director of Care shall select and assign a mentor for a given mentoring relationship based on those Nurses who have expressed an interest in mentoring.
