Method of Filling Positions. (A) Except where a position is filled by demotion, lateral action, or reassignment as defined in Article 9 of this Agreement, employees who have requested promotion in accordance with Section 2 of this Article shall be given first consideration for promotional positions. Of the employees meeting the selection criteria, up to a maximum of five will be interviewed. Where interviews are done by committee, at least one committee member will be qualified in the particular professional discipline involved.
