Common use of Mid-Span Meet Clause in Contracts

Mid-Span Meet. Either Party may request Interconnection through a Mid-Span Meet for the exchange of Local Traffic, ISP Bound Traffic and Tandem Transit Traffic. 4.7.1 A Mid-Span Meet is a fiber connection arrangement whereby the Parties physically interconnect their networks via an optical fiber interface (as opposed to an electrical interface). The Mid-Span Meet is the location where one Party's facilities, provisioning, maintenance, and financial responsibility, begins and the other Party's responsibility ends. 4.7.2 If both Parties mutually agree to Interconnect pursuant to a Mid-Span Meet, CENTURYLINK and CITIZENS shall jointly engineer and operate an OC-3 Synchronous Optical Network ("SONET") transmission system. The Parties shall interconnect their transmission and routing of Local Traffic, ISP Bound Traffic and Tandem Transit Traffic via a local channel facility at the DS1 Level. The Parties shall work jointly to determine the specific transmission system. CENTURYLINK's transmission equipment must be compatible with CITIZENS's equipment. 4.7.3 CENTURYLINK shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CENTURYLINK End Office Switch. CITIZENS shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CITIZENS End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS and CENTURYLINK shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS exchange area. CITIZENS shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINK, CITIZENS shall allow CENTURYLINK access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible. 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the transmission system. Each Party shall be responsible for maintaining the components of their own transmission system. 4.7.7 Each Party will be responsible for providing its own transport facilities to the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.8 The Parties will mutually agree on the appropriate sizing for the facilities. The capacity of Interconnection Facilities provided by each Party will be based on mutual forecasts and sound engineering practice, as mutually agreed to by the Parties. CENTURYLINK will order trunks in the agreed upon quantities via an Access Service Request.

CITIZENS TCCC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon SONET equipment in the CITIZENS TCCC End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS TCCC and CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders or at the exchange boundary, of the CITIZENS TCCC exchange area. CITIZENS , TCCC shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK CHARTER to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS TCCC shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINKCHARTER, CITIZENS TCCC shall allow CENTURYLINK CHARTER access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible. 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the SONET transmission system. CITIZENS TRI-COUNTY shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK CHARTER to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS RGTC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon Sonet equipment in the CITIZENS RGTC End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS RGTC and CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS RGTC exchange area. CITIZENS area and RGTC shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS RGTC shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its is own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINKXXXXX 0, CITIZENS shall allow CENTURYLINK XXXX xxxxx xxxxx XXXXX 0 access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible. 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the SONET transmission system. Each Party shall be responsible for maintaining the components of their own SONET transmission system. 4.7.7 Each Party will be responsible for providing its own transport facilities to the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.8 The Parties will mutually agree on the appropriate sizing for the facilities. CITIZENS CCCI shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CITIZENS CCCI End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS CCCI and CENTURYLINK shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS CCCI exchange area. CITIZENS CCCI shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS RGTC shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon SONET equipment in the CITIZENS RGTC End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS RGTC and CENTURYLINK MEDIACOM shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS RGTC exchange area. CENTURYLINKLEVEL 3's SONET transmission equipment must be compatible with CITIZENSXXXX VALLEY's SONET equipment. 4.7.3 CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon SONET equipment in the CENTURYLINK End Office SwitchLEVEL 3 switch. CITIZENS shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CITIZENS End Office Switch.XXXX VALLEY 4.7.4 CITIZENS XXXX VALLEY and CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS XXXX VALLEY exchange area. CITIZENS area and XXXX VALLEY shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS XXXX VALLEY shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its is own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINKXXXXX 0, CITIZENS XXXX XXXXXX shall allow CENTURYLINK LEVEL 3 access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible. 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the SONET transmission system. The Parties shall interconnect their transmission and routing of Local Traffic, ISP Bound Traffic and Tandem Transit Traffic via a local channel facility at the DS1 Level. The Parties shall work jointly to determine the specific transmission system. CITIZENS as provided in Appendix A, and SOMERSET shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK CHARTER to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet POI with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span MeetPOI. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS SOMERSET shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its it’s own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINKCHARTER, CITIZENS SOMERSET shall allow CENTURYLINK CHARTER access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible. 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the SONET transmission system. Either Party may request Interconnection through a Mid-Span Meet for the exchange of Local Traffic, ISP Bound Traffic and Tandem Transit Traffic. 4.7.1 A Mid-Span Meet is a fiber connection arrangement whereby the Parties physically interconnect their networks via an optical fiber interface (as opposed to an electrical interface). The Mid-Span Meet is the location where one Party's facilities, provisioning, maintenance, and financial responsibility, begins and the other Party's responsibility ends. 4.7.2 If both Parties mutually agree to Interconnect pursuant to a Mid-Span Meet, CENTURYLINK and CITIZENS CHIBARDUN shall jointly engineer and operate an OC-3 Synchronous Optical Network ("SONET") transmission system. The Parties shall interconnect their transmission and routing of Local Traffic, ISP Bound Traffic and Tandem Transit Traffic via a local channel facility at the DS1 Level. The Parties shall work jointly to determine the specific transmission system. CENTURYLINK's transmission equipment must be compatible with CITIZENS's CHIBARDUN’s equipment. 4.7.3 CENTURYLINK shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CENTURYLINK End Office Switch. CITIZENS CHIBARDUN shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon equipment in the CITIZENS CHIBARDUN End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS CHIBARDUN and CENTURYLINK shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders of the CITIZENS CHIBARDUN exchange area. CITIZENS CHIBARDUN shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS CHIBARDUN shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. Upon verbal request by CENTURYLINK, CITIZENS shall allow CENTURYLINK access to the Mid-Span Meet entry point for maintenance purposes as promptly as possible.its 4.7.6 The Parties shall jointly coordinate and undertake maintenance of the transmission system. Each Party shall be responsible for maintaining the components of their own transmission system. 4.7.7 Each Party will be responsible for providing its own transport facilities to the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.8 The Parties will mutually agree on the appropriate sizing for the facilities. The capacity of Interconnection Facilities provided by each Party will be based on mutual forecasts and sound engineering practice, as mutually agreed to by the Parties. CENTURYLINK will order trunks in the agreed upon quantities via an Access Service Request.

Mid-Span Meet. CENTURYLINKCHARTER's SONET transmission equipment must be compatible with CITIZENSMANAWA's SONET equipment. 4.7.3 CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon SONET equipment in the CENTURYLINK End Office SwitchCHARTER switch, head end or similar facility. CITIZENS MANAWA shall, wholly at its own expense, procure, install and maintain the agreed upon SONET equipment in the CITIZENS MANAWA End Office Switch. 4.7.4 CITIZENS MANAWA and CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall mutually designate a Mid-Span Meet within the borders or at the exchange boundary of the CITIZENS MANAWA exchange area. CITIZENS , MANAWA shall make all necessary preparations to receive, and to allow and enable CENTURYLINK CHARTER to deliver, fiber optic facilities into the Mid-Span Meet with sufficient spare length to reach the splice point at the Mid-Span Meet. 4.7.5 CENTURYLINK CHARTER shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense. CITIZENS MANAWA shall deliver and maintain its fiber strands wholly at its own expense.
