MISCELLANEOUS GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. 1. So that the grievance can be processed as rapidly as possible, time limits at each level should be considered as a maximum and every effort should be made to expedite the process. Time limits may be extended in writing by mutual consent. 2. In the event a grievance is filed or being processed on or after June 1, the time limits set forth herein shall be reduced so that the grievance procedure may be exhausted prior to the end of the school term or as soon thereafter as is practicable. 3. If the SEA decides at any level of the grievance procedure that a grievance is without merit, or that an equitable answer has been given to the aggrieved person, it may withdraw its support. He/she may not be represented by any other organization or group at any time. The grievant may always seek further satisfaction through normal school administrative channels. 4. Every effort will be made to avoid interruption of classroom activities unless the school administration so authorizes, avoid the involvement of students in all phases of the grievance procedure.
