MMO - Investigators. 2 Posts  Experienced Investigator (preferably with fraud investigation experience)  Duration - Full time - Provisionally until end of March 2014  Location - Flexible (home-working / office in Westminster)  Job Role - To perform the role of an investigating officer providing a range of skills and abilities to the Senior Investigating Officer  Additional related duties as assigned  Accountable to the Senior Investigating Officer (SIO) – Operation Iroko. Responsible for:  Interviewing witnesses and obtaining statements  Interviewing suspects under caution  Compiling written reports and statements of evidence  Recording and retaining relevant material obtained or generated during the course of the investigation  Carrying out the role of Disclosure or Exhibits Officer (or deputy) as required  Preparing case files for the Crown Prosecution Service  Updating manual and computer records as required.  Supporting the SIO in determining the scope and direction of the investigation  Examining documents to piece together information  Completing allocated `actions` in a timely manner  Prioritising workloads  Collecting and submitting information / intelligence in accordance with operational requirements  Liaising with other investigative or support / partner agencies as required  Acting as a mentor and offering support to less experience colleagues  Providing evidence in Court. Skills required:  Leadership and communicationAn experienced criminal investigator with a proven track record of complex investigation management  Interview skills trained  Professional and practical knowledge and understanding of PACE 1984 and CPIA 1996  Ability to listen, communicate, and operate effectively in a diverse working environment  Ability to comprehend and make inferences from written material  Ability to quickly assimilate unfamiliar legislation, policies and procedures;  To exercise sound judgment and problem solve using logical reasoning  Time management and the ability to prioritise work streams.

  • Investigatory Interviews When an employee is required by the City to attend an interview conducted by the City for purposes of investigating an incident which may lead to discipline/discharge of that employee because of that particular incident, the employee shall have the right to request that the employee be accompanied at the investigatory interview by a representative of the Union.   • Compliance Investigations Upon City’s request, Contractor agrees to provide to City, within sixty calendar days, a truthful and complete list of the names of all subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers that Contractor has used in the past five years on any of its contracts that were undertaken within San Diego County, including the total dollar amount paid by Contractor for each subcontract or supply contract. Contractor further agrees to fully cooperate in any investigation conducted by City pursuant to City's Nondiscrimination in Contracting Ordinance. Contractor understands and agrees that violation of this clause shall be considered a material breach of the Contract and may result in Contract termination, debarment, and other sanctions.

  • Investigatory Interview When the employee under investigation is to be interviewed concerning the alleged conduct which could result in discharge or other discipline, the employee and his or her representative shall be notified in writing, at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the interview. In the event of an emergency, such reasonable notice as the circumstances permit shall be given. The notice shall state that an official investigation is being conducted and shall state the subject matter of the investigatory interview.

  • Background Investigations OSC policy requires that background investigations be conducted on Contractor Staff who will have access to OSC’s IT systems, access to OSC confidential information/data, or routine access to any OSC facility. For purposes of this policy, “routine access” is defined as access to an OSC facility for five consecutive business days or 10 business days over the annual term of the engagement. Accordingly, with the signing of this Agreement, the Contractor certifies that it has or will conduct a background investigation on Staff to whom the policy applies within the 12 months prior to the Staff commencing Services under this Agreement. The Contractor agrees to undertake a background investigation of any new/replacement Staff during the term of the Agreement. At a minimum, background investigations shall include a review/evaluation of the following: • identity verification, including Social Security Number search; • employment eligibility, including verification of U.S. citizenship or legal immigration status where appropriate; • criminal history/court records (Federal, State and local for the past five years); • work experience/history for the past five years; • pertinent skills, qualifications, and education/professional credentials; and • references. The Contractor must obtain the consent of its Staff to allow OSC, upon request: (i) to review the background investigation records, including all supporting documentation, and (ii) to conduct its own background investigation. Only Staff who have passed the background investigation, and provided such consent shall be assigned to provide Services to OSC under this Agreement. During the term of the Agreement, and in accordance with Appendix A (Section 10, Records), the Contractor must maintain records related to the background investigations performed.

  • Cooperation with Investigations You agree to cooperate with us in the investigation of unusual transactions, poor quality transmissions, and resolution of customer claims, including by providing, upon request and without further cost, any originals or copies of items deposited through the Service in your possession and your records relating to such items and transmissions.
