Multi-Storey Allowance. (a) In addition to the wage rates and site allowances provided in this Agreement, Multi-Storey Allowance will be applicable in accordance with clause 23.3 of the Award. The applicable rate for Multi-Storey Allowance shall be as follows:

(c) Multi-Storey Allowance will be adjusted annually in accordance with CPI (All Groups, Melbourne) movements measured in the twelve-month period ending the previous December quarter effective as of 1 March from 2025 onwards, rounded to the nearest cent.

Multi-Storey Allowance. Employees shall be entitled to a Multi-Storey Allowance when engaged in the construction or renovation of a multi-storey building. This allowance is in addition to the wage rates and other allowances provided for in this Agreement.
Multi-Storey Allowance. (a) A multi-storey allowance shall be paid to compensate employees, engaged on construction on-site, for the disabilities experienced in, and which are peculiar to the construction of multi-storey buildings.
(b) For the purpose of this Award a multi-storey building is a building which will, when complete, consist of not less than 5 storey levels.
(c) For the purpose of clause 5.8.13, a storey level means structurally completed floor, pillars or columns, and ceiling (not being false ceilings) of a building, and shall include basement levels and mezzanine or similar levels (but excluding "half-floors" such as toilet blocks or store rooms located between floors).
(d) A multi-storey allowance in accordance with the table set out below shall be payable to all employees engaged on construction on-site when one of the following components of the building:
(i) Structural Steel;
(ii) Reinforcing Steel;
(iii) Boxing or Walls; rises above the 4th floor level. Such payment shall be increased to the appropriate amounts as shown in the table, when the structural steel, reinforcing steel, boxing or walls reach such designated level.
(e) The commencing point of measurement shall be the lowest main floor (including basement floor levels but excluding lift walls and shafts of the building). "Floor level" means that state of construction which, in the completed building, would constitute the walking surface of the particular floor level referred to in the table of payment.
(f) Multi-storey Rate - For work on the construction of multi-storeyed buildings the following shall apply: From commencement of building to fifteenth (15) floor level - 39.2c per hour extra; From sixteenth (16) floor level to thirtieth (30) floor level - 48.35c per hour extra; From thirty-first (31) floor level to forty-fifth (45) floor level - 71.9c per hour extra; From forty-sixth (46) floor level to sixtieth (60) floor level - 94.15c per hour extra; From sixty-first (61) floor level onwards - $1.1755 per hour extra.
(g) Payment of the allowance shall cease when the walls are completed and the employees are working under cover and the lifts or passenger/material hoists are available to employees: Provided that the exclusion of odd wall panels, sections or windows for the purpose of entrance or exit of materials or the anchoring of cranes, external lifting devices or scaffolding shall not prevent the walls of a building being defined as completed.

Multi-Storey Allowance. Employees shall be entitled to a Multi-Storey Allowance when engaged in the construction or renovation of a multi-storey building. However, provided that the Multi-Storey Allowance will be capped at $0.64 per hour on ‘9 The Esplanade’ and the ‘ECU Inner City Campus’ Project for the life of those Projects.

5.9.1 A multi-storey allowance outlined in Schedule C shall be paid to all Employees on site engaged in the construction of a multi-storey building as defined herein, to compensate for the disabilities experienced in, and which are peculiar to the construction of a multi-storey building.
5.9.2 For the purposes of this clause a multi-storey building is a building which will, when complete, consist of five or more storey levels. For the purposes of this clause, a storey level means a structurally completed floor, walls, pillars or columns, and ceiling (not being false ceilings) of a building and shall include basement levels and mezzanine or similar levels (but excluding half floors such as toilet blocks or storerooms located between floors).
5.9.3 Except as provided for in clause 5.10.1, an allowance in accordance with Schedule C of this Agreement shall be paid to all Employees on the building site. The second and subsequent allowance scales shall, where applicable, commence to apply to all Employees when one of the following components of the building - structural steel, reinforcing steel, boxing, or walls, rises above the floor level first designated in each such allowance scale. Floor Level means that stage of construction which in the completed building would constitute the walking surface of the floor level referred to in the table of payments set out in Schedule C of this Agreement. The allowance payable at the highest point of the building shall continue until completion of the building.
Multi-Storey Allowance. (a) Definition - For the purposes of this Agreement a multi-storey building is a building which will, when complete, consist of 5 or more storey levels. "Complete" means the building is fully functional and all work which was part of the principal contract is complete. For the purposes of clause 4.5.26, a storey level means structurally completed floor, walls, pillars or columns, and ceilings (not being false ceilings) of a building, and includes basement levels and mezzanine or similar levels (but excluding "half floors" such as toilet blocks or store rooms located between floors). Any buildings or structures which do not have regular storey levels but which are not classed as towers (e.g. grandstands, aircraft hangers, large stores, etc.) and which exceed 15 metres in height may be covered by clause 4.5.26, or by clause 4.5.38 by agreement. A plant room situated on the top of a building will constitute a further storey level if the plant room occupies 25% of the total roof area or an area of 100 square metres whichever is the lesser.
