Common use of National Guard Leave Clause in Contracts

National Guard Leave. Leaves of absence without pay will be granted to employees who are active in the National Guard or a branch of the Armed Forces Reserves for the purpose of fulfilling their annual field training obligation and/or when called to temporary civil disorders provided such employees make written requests for such leave of absence immediately upon receipt of their orders to report for such duty.
