Verbal Procedure. An employee who believes that he has a grievance shall discuss the matter with his immediate supervisor within four (4) days following the events that caused the grievance. If requested by the employee, his or her xxxxxxx may be present.
Verbal Procedure. An employee, or the Association President, with a grievance shall, either within five (5) days of the occurrence or the incident which gave rise to the grievance, or the employee first becomes aware of or should reasonably have become aware of the occurrence of the grievance, first discuss the grievance with the Sheriff or his designee with the object of resolving the matter informally. If requested, the Union Representative may be present. The Sheriff or his designee shall give his answer to the grievance within ten (10) working days.
Verbal Procedure. An employee with a complaint shall discuss the matter with their immediate supervisor or appropriate management personnel within five (5) days after the occurrence or knowledge of the occurrence of the events giving rise to the complaint. The employee or xxxxxxx will advise the supervisor or appropriate management personnel in writing that the discussion is a Step 1
Verbal Procedure. If an employee has a grievance and wishes to enter it into the grievance procedure, he shall discuss it with his lieutenant or immediate supervisor within five (5) days after its occurrence. The employee may have a representative of the Executive Board or certified bargaining agent present.
Verbal Procedure. An employee with a grievance shall within fifteen (15) days of the occurrence of the incident which gave rise to the grievance, discuss it with the Chief of Police or designated representative, with the object of resolving the matter informally. If requested, a member of the Grievance Committee may be present. The Chief of Police or designated representative shall give an answer within ten (10) days.
Verbal Procedure. An employee with a grievance shall, within ten (10) days of the knowledge of the occurrence of the incident which gave rise to the grievance, discuss it with the Fire Chief or designated representative, with the object of resolving the matter informally. If requested, a member of the grievance committee may be present. The Fire Chief or designated representative shall give a written answer within five (5) days.
Verbal Procedure. An employee, a member of the Unit Leadership Team, and Human Resources shall first discuss the grievance with the involved supervisor within ten (10) working days of the cause of, or receipt of written notification, of said alleged grievance. A brief memorandum shall be written with five (5) days validating both parties understanding of the discussion result (email agreements shall be an acceptable form of memo)
1. If the grievant is not satisfied with the decision at Step 1, the grievant and a member of the Unit Leadership Team or Xxxxxxx, may file a written grievance with the highest-ranking Human Resources Administrator within eight (8) days of the receipt of the decision from Step 1. The grievance shall state the Article(s) and Section(s) of this Agreement believed to have been violated and the specific relief requested.
2. Within eight (8) days of receipt of the written grievance, the highest-ranking Human Resources Administrator, or their designee, shall meet with a Unit Leadership Team member or Xxxxxxx, and parties pertinent to understanding the grievance. Based on the nature of the grievance, the Unit Leadership Team representative may request a private meeting with the Human Resources Administrator on behalf of the member. Meetings may include internal mediation led by Human Resources or designee, which, if successful will include a written statement of agreement. If mediation is not used, or if it is not successful, the highest-ranking Human Resources Administrator or designee shall provide a written decision within eight (8) working days after the meeting.
Verbal Procedure. An employee with an alleged grievance shall discuss the matter with the Director of Food and Nutrition Services or designee within ten (10) weekdays from the occurrence of the alleged grievance. If requested by the employee, s/he shall have his/her Association representative present. If the complaint is not satisfactorily settled, it shall be advanced according to the written procedure within five (5) weekdays after meeting with the Director of Food and Nutrition Services or designee.
Verbal Procedure. An employee with a complaint shall, within seven (7) working days of the occurrence which gave rise to the complaint or within seven (7) working days of the date the employee first reasonably should have known of the event which gave rise to the grievance, discuss it with his/her immediate supervisor with the object of resolving the matter informally. The request to meet under this step shall be submitted in writing on a form mutually agreed upon by the Employer and the Union and is attached to this Agreement. If requested, the Xxxxxxx or Unit Representative may be present. The immediate supervisor will respond verbally within seven (7) working days of the meeting held under this Step.
Verbal Procedure. The grievance shall be taken up by conference between the employee and/or the Association and the employee's immediate supervisor with the employee's Association representative, if requested by the employee, provided however, that all grievances must be brought to the Employer's attention within ten (10) working days from the date of the occurrence which gave rise to the grievance or the employee's or Association's first knowledge thereof. The immediate supervisor shall give his or her answer within five (5) working days after receipt of the grievance.
