Common use of National Guard Members Clause in Contracts

National Guard Members. An Employee inducted or called up for active duty in a branch of the United States military or National Guard while employed by one of the school Districts covered by this Agreement will be guaranteed his/her position upon return to employment, provided the Employee returns within the time periods established by federal or Vermont law. Upon return to employment the Employee’s placement on the salary guide will include step advancement negotiated and applicable to other Employees during the time the Employee was absent for service in the military.
