Common use of National Security Clause in Contracts

National Security. 17.01 The Union recognizes that the Company from time to time may have certain obligations with respect to security of information and materials under contract with the Government of Canada and its allies. The Union agrees that nothing contained in this Agreement shall place the Company in violation of security agreements with the government and its allies. In the event that any government agency concerned with security regulations should direct the Company that any employee is restricted from work on, or access to, classified information or material the Union will not contest any reasonable action the Company may take to comply with such contractual obligations.
