Common use of Negotiations, Meetings, and Procedures Clause in Contracts

Negotiations, Meetings, and Procedures. No later than ninety (90) calendar days before the termination date of this Agreement, the Association or the Board shall notify the other in writing of a "Notice to Negotiate." Written notice from the Association shall be served on the Superintendent; and, written notice from the Board shall be addressed to the Association President. The party giving "notice" shall also serve a copy on the State Employment Relations Board (SERB). No later than thirty (30) calendar days after receipt of such notice, an initial negotiations' meeting will be held. At this meeting, the parties shall submit in definitive writing all of its bargaining proposals to be considered for negotiations. Thereafter, neither party shall be entitled to submit new subject items for bargaining except with consent of the other party. The next bargaining session shall be held within seven (7) calendar days after the initial meeting at which proposals are exchanged, unless the parties agree to mutually extend the time period.
