NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT. 101 RECOGNITION
A. The Highland Local Board of Education (hereinafter referred to as the “Board”) recognizes the Highland Education Association, an affiliate of the Ohio Education Association and the National Education Association (hereinafter referred to as the “HEA”) as the sole and exclusive representative for the bargaining unit defined below in matters pertaining to wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment, and the continuation, modification, or deletion of an existing provision of this Agreement. Recognition of the HEA shall continue in full force and effect until such time as a challenging employee organization is successful in gaining exclusive representative status in strict adherence to the provisions of RC 4117.05 and 4117.
NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT. A. Recognition The Urbana City School District Board of Education recognizes the Urbana Association of Classroom Teachers OEA/NEA-Local as the sole and exclusive representative, for purposes of and as defined in Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code, for all professional certificated personnel, both full-time and regular part-time, whether actively employed or on leave of absence or on reduction in force suspension with recall rights, including by the way of illustration classroom teachers, tutors, guidance counselors, librarians, media and program specialists, nurses, substitutes after they have taught in one specific teacher position for sixty (60) consecutive school days in a school year, and department heads. Specifically excluded from the bargaining unit are the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendents, Administrative Directors, Principals, Assistant Principals, Administrative Assistants, Athletic Directors, non-certified employees and all non-certificated employment, teachers paid with auxiliary services funds, other substitutes and other administrative personnel as defined in Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bargaining unit shall also include any newly created non-supervisory certificated position having a community of interest in wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment with teachers in the unit as described above. Substitute teachers who are in the bargaining unit shall only be entitled to the negotiated teacher salary, insurance benefits and sick leave and only while actively employed and assigned continuously to the specific teacher position.
NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT. 1. The Xxxxxxxx Local Board of Education, hereinafter referred to as “the Board” or the “Board of Education,” recognizes the Xxxxxxxx Local Education Association/OEA/NEA, hereinafter referred to as “the Association” or the “HLEA,” as the sole and exclusive representative of all the members of the bargaining unit, hereinafter referred to as “members” or “unit members” or “bargaining unit members” or "employees."
2. For purposes of recognition and negotiations, the term “bargaining unit” shall mean the certificated/licensed teaching employees, including certificated/licensed classroom teachers, guidance counselors, reading teachers, speech and hearing therapists, librarians, nurses, tutors and all other certificated/licensed employees whose position does not require supervisory duties. Excluded from the unit are the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, Principals and Assistant Principals, Administrative Directors, administrative office employees whose position requires a certificate/license in supervision or administration, other administrative and supervisory personnel, and casual day-to-day substitutes.
3. The Xxxxxxxx Local School District shall hereinafter be referred to as the "District."
NEGOTIATIONS AGREEMENT. When the participants reach agreement, the final decisions will be reduced to writing. All such agreements, including this agreement, will become parts of the official minutes of the Board and be incorporated into the policies, rules and regulations or mutually accepted agreements of the Board. When necessary, provisions in the Agreement shall be reflected in the individual teacher’s contracts.
