Negotiations Release Time. The Employer will make a good faith effort to assist in providing release time for Union negotiating team members participating in contract negotiations if negotiations take place on work time, provided that coverage can be arranged. The Employer shall compensate each employee who is a member of the Negotiation Committee and take time off from their scheduled shift to meet and negotiate successor agreements or changes and amendments to existing agreements. Overtime will not be paid for negotiations that take place outside the employee’s normal work schedule.
