New Classifications and Changed Classifications. The University has the right to create new classifications or change existing classifications. Changing an existing classification can include either an upgrade or a downgrade. The University will assign each newly created or changed classification a title, salary grade, basic functions and responsibilities, characteristic duties, supervision received, minimum required qualifications and/or additional qualifications.
