New Hires and Promotions. Nothing in this Agreement shall restrict or modify the University 's ability to unilaterally establish the salary of newly-hired faculty members. Bargaining unit members who are promoted: (1) within the ranks identified in the University of Illinois Statutes, as such Statutes may be amended from time to time (e.g., Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, Clinical Professor, Research Assistant Professor, Research Associate Professor, Research Professor) and (2) from Lecturer to Senior Lecturer and Instructor to Senior Instructor shall be eligible for salary increases in accordance with campus policies and practices; however the increase shall not be less than 10%.
