Training Courses. The Employer shall bulletin any training courses and experimental programs for which employees may be selected. The bulletin shall contain the following information: (a) type of course (subjects and material to be covered), (b) time, duration and location of the course, (c) basic minimum qualifications required for applicants. This bulletin shall be posted for a period of two (2) weeks on bulletin boards in all Departments to afford all interested employees an opportunity to apply for such training. The senior qualified applicant shall be selected.

Training Courses. 16.4.1 Training courses, as well as the minimum and maximum numbers of trainees per course provided for the Buyer’s personnel, are defined in the applicable training course catalog published by ANACS (the “Training Course Catalog”) and will be scheduled as mutually agreed upon during a training conference (the “Training Conference”) that will be held as soon as practicable after signature of this Agreement and no later than May 31, 2007. AVA - A320 Family PA AMENDED AND RESTATED 16.4.2 The following terms will apply when training is performed ANACS: (i) Subject to 16.4.2(ii) below, training courses will be standard Airbus courses as described in ANACS applicable Training Course Catalog valid at the time of execution of the course. ANACS will be responsible for all training course syllabi, training aids and training equipment (not to include aircraft) necessary for the organization of the training courses. (ii) Where ANACS agrees to perform training using Buyer’s standard courses, Buyer will be responsible for taking all steps necessary to assure approval by applicable Aviation Authorities of such training (including any needed approvals of specific ANACS instructors). (iii) The training curricula and the training equipment used for flight crew, cabin crew and maintenance training will not be fully customized but will be configured in order to obtain the relevant Aviation Authority’s approval and to support the Seller’s training programs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the training curricula used for training performed under such circumstances shall enumerate any differences that exist between the non-customized material and Buyer’s detailed specification. (iv) Training data and documentation necessary for training detailed in Appendix A to this Clause 16 will be and will not be revised. Training data and documentation will be marked “FOR TRAINING ONLY” and as such will be supplied for the sole and express purpose of training. (v) Upon the request of the Buyer [*], the Seller will collect and pack for consolidated shipment to the Buyer’s facility, all training data and documentation of the Buyer’s trainees attending training at the Seller’s Training Center. Training Courses. 16.4.1 Training courses, as well as the minimum and maximum numbers of trainees per course provided for the Buyer's or the Operator's personnel are defined in the applicable brochure describing the various Seller's training courses ("the Seller's Training Course Catalog") and will be scheduled as mutually agreed upon during a training conference ("the Training Conference") to be held at least twelve (12) months prior to delivery of the first Aircraft to be delivered to each of the Buyer's Operators. 16.4.2 When training is performed by the Seller: (i) Training courses shall be the Seller's standard courses as described in the Seller's then current Training Course Catalog. The Seller shall be responsible for all training course syllabi, training aids and training equipment necessary for the organization of the training courses; (ii) The training curricula and the training equipment may not be fully customized. However, academic curricula may be modified to include the most significant of the Buyer's Aircraft Specification (to the exclusion of Buyer Furnished Equipment) as known at the latest six (6) months prior to the date of the first training course planned for the Buyer. The equipment used for training of flight and maintenance personnel shall not be fully customized; however, this equipment shall be configured in order to obtain the relevant Aviation Authority's approval and to support the Seller's teaching programs. Training data and documentation shall not be revised; (iii) Training data and documentation for trainees receiving the contractual training at the Seller's training centers shall be free-of-charge. Training data and documentation shall be marked "FOR TRAINING ONLY" and as such are supplied for the sole and express purpose of training; 16.4.3 In the event of the Buyer deciding to cancel or re-schedule a training course, a minimum advance notice of sixty (60) calendar days shall be required. Any later cancellation or change, when courses cannot be allocated to other customers, shall be deducted from the training allowances defined herein or be charged to the Buyer, as applicable. 16.4.4 In fulfillment of its obligation to provide training courses, when the Seller performs the training courses, the Seller shall deliver to the trainees a certificate of completion at the end of any such training course. Training Courses. Candidates for any training program will be selected on the basis of service seniority within a work group. In the case of employees who have unsuccessfully taken the same course in the preceding two (2) years, selection will be made on the basis of all other qualified candidates having first exercised their option for such training.

Training Courses. ‌ An employee will be reimbursed for college or university semester or short-course educational training courses pursuant to the following: (a) To be eligible for reimbursement, the educational training courses must be approved in advance by the Department Head or his/her designee but reimbursement is subject to budgetary requirements and career relevancy. (b) The training must be directly related to the required skill or education for the employee’s current position or an advanced degree in the employee’s current field and part of a declared degree program. (c) Only a full-time, regular employee who has been so employed for at least five (5) years will be eligible for reimbursement. Further eligibility will be determined by his Department Head/Division Head in accordance with the departmental training program as approved by the City Manager. (d) No employee will be reimbursed for more than two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) per fiscal year. Reimbursement will not be effected if the cost is assumed by any other institution, scholarship or grant-in-aid. (e) Reimbursable expenses shall be restricted to tuition, course fees and required textbooks. While educational training courses should normally be taken on the employee’s own time, exception may be granted by the City Manager, in which case up to four hours per week may be granted for class attendance, and shall not be deducted from annual leave or be recorded as unexcused absence. (f) Reimbursement will be effected upon presentation of evidence to substantiate the expense, evidence of a passing grade, or if the educational training course is of a nature such that no grade is given, a certificate of completion and the surrender of all textbooks for placement in the departmental reference library.

Training Courses. 28.1 The Corporation shall notify all employees in an applicable work unit by posting where appropriate as soon as reasonably possible of all pertinent training courses, whether they are provided in-house or by an outside agency.
