Common use of New Teacher In-Service Clause in Contracts

New Teacher In-Service. In addition, at the discretion of the District, teachers new to the District shall attend up to five (5) days of new teacher in-service prior to the first reporting work day of the school year’s instructional calendar start of the school year for regular teachers. Effective July 1, 2003, newly hired teachers who participate in the new teacher in-service shall be paid their daily rate for the up to five (5) additional orientation days at the beginning of the year.
