New Tug Means. i) A tug the keel of which is laid on or after the effective date of this Agreement. ii) A tug purchased from outside the country on or after the date of signing this Agreement. iii) A tug on which major modifications are commenced on or after the date of signing this Agreement.

d) Any alterations made to vessel that has previously been classified as a new vessel must continue to comply with the terms of the new tug standards which existed at the time the vessel was classified except where mutually agreed.
