No Contractual or Donative Commitments Sample Clauses
The "No Contractual or Donative Commitments" clause establishes that the document or communication in which it appears does not create any legally binding obligations or promises to give gifts. In practice, this means that neither party can rely on the document as forming a contract or as an enforceable promise to provide something of value without further formal agreement. For example, preliminary discussions, proposals, or drafts containing this clause cannot be used to claim that a contract or gift has been made. The core function of this clause is to prevent misunderstandings or disputes by making it clear that no enforceable commitments are being made at this stage.
