KCC, the MEA and the Association will not discriminate against any employee because the employee chooses to become or chooses not to become a member of the Association. (a) Joining the Association is not a condition of employment for any employee; an employee cannot and will not be terminated solely because the employee chooses to not join the Association. (b) Paying Association dues or fees is not a condition of employment for any employee and such employee cannot and will not be terminated solely because the employee chooses not to pay Association dues or fees. (c) KCC will not tolerate harassment or discrimination against any employee who chooses to become an Association member or chooses not to become an Association member. Any employee who believes he/she has been harassed or discriminated against in violation of this subsection should complain as set forth in KCC's harassment policy.
