Non-Renewal of a Term Appointment. 1. General Provisions Notices of non-renewal shall be personally served or mailed to the bargaining-unit member’s home address recorded in the University’s computerized records by certified, express, or registered mail, or sent by a commercial delivery service such as Federal Express or UPS that provides a receipt showing the date on which sent, on or prior to the date of notice requirement stated below. For twelve (12)-month employees, if such notice is sent late thirty (30) days or fewer, it will nonetheless be effective, but the bargaining-unit member shall be compensated at the rate of one (1) day’s pay for each day the notice is late.
