Common use of Nondiscrimination and Private Life Clause in Contracts

Nondiscrimination and Private Life. Notwithstanding their employment, teachers shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship and no lawful religious or political activities of any teacher or the lack thereof shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the professional employment of such teacher unless detrimental to the United States. The private or personal life of any teacher is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board as long as the teacher in private life shall abstain from conduct which affects his relationship with students or the discharge of his/her duties.
