Normal Work Day and Work Cycle. 24-Hour Employees. The normal workday in a normal workweek shall be 24 consecutive hours of work (1 shift) followed by 48 consecutive hours off (2 shifts). The normal work cycle for bargaining unit employees assigned to 24-hour shifts shall be 27 days. The normal workday for 24 hour employees shall begin and end at 7:00 a.m.
