Common use of Normal Work Period-Workday Clause in Contracts

Normal Work Period-Workday. An employee's normal work period shall consist of eighty (80) hours of work performed in a period of two (2) consecutive calendar weeks. The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) hours of work performed within a period of twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing from the start of an employee's regularly scheduled shift.

Beginning at 8:00 A.M. Monday through 5:00 P.M. Friday with a one (1) hour lunch break. The normal workday shall consist of eight (8) hours of work performed within a period of twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing from the start of an employee's ’s regularly scheduled shift. These definitions shall not constitute a guarantee by the Employer of any number of hours per workday or per work week, or a limitation on the Employer’s right to schedule and require work in excess of the normal workday or normal work period.
