Notice of Discipline. Notice of suspension shall be made in writing and served in person or by certified mail upon the unit member. A copy shall be provided to the Association President. The notice of suspension shall contain a statement in ordinary language of the specific acts or omissions upon which the action is based, any rule or regulation alleged to have been violated, proposed penalty, and the proposed duration of suspension. The unit member shall be given a copy of any written charges and materials on which the action is based and a statement of the unit member’s right to respond.
