Notice of Proposed Action. Before taking severe disciplinary action, the Sheriff or his/her designee shall serve on the employee, either personally or by certified mail, a Notice of Proposed Action, which shall contain the following: 1. A statement of the action proposed to be taken. 2. A copy of the charges, including the acts or omissions and grounds upon which the action is based.
