Common use of Notice of Substantial change Clause in Contracts

Notice of Substantial change. ‌ In situations where change (e.g. organizational, material, equipment, process) will adversely affect an employee by resulting loss of permanent classification or loss of basic wages, the Employer will provide a minimum of ninety (90) days’ notice in writing to the employees and the Union of the change. The Employer agrees to meet and discuss the change with the Union. Where the Employer does not have ninety (90) days’ notice of such change itself, the Employer shall provide written notice of such change to employees and the Union within five (5) days from the Employer becoming aware of the change.
