Common use of Notification of Mediation Clause in Contracts

Notification of Mediation. 37 The Association must notify the District, in writing, within five (5) working days of the 38 conclusion of Step III of the Association’s desire to refer the grievance to mediation. The District 39 shall respond to the Association whether or not the District agrees to the mediation of the 40 grievance no later than two (2) working days prior to the Association’s contractual deadline for 41 the submission of a grievance to arbitration or within five (5) working days of receipt of the 42 written notification, whichever is sooner.
