Notification to the Teacher. The layoff of a teacher or any reduction in a teacher’s full-time equivalency (FTE) shall be made only after the Association has the opportunity to meet with the Superintendent/designee as established in Article 13.2. The teacher will be notified in writing of the reason(s) therefore no later than April 15. Notification to a teacher of a layoff or reduction in salaried time shall be conducted personally and privately. The teacher may, at his/her option, have a representative of the Association present at such meeting.
