Common use of Notifications and submission Clause in Contracts

Notifications and submission. The claimant (you, a family member, or appointed executor) must notify FNB Bank, of your intention to claim, with the necessary legal documentation directly as soon as possible before (while the account is Inactive) or after (classified as an Escheatable account). The bank may specify an amount threshold (subject to change from time to time) in which the bank will not try to contact the customer regarding the unclaimed credit balance for less and or up to the value of less than R50.00. Three contact attempt notifications will be sent to (you, the client) advising of the unclaimed balance on your credit card account before the account is classified as Escheatable and before the account is closed. Uncontactable clients with an unclaimed credit balance will be transferred to our Escheatable suspense account. Accounts at “Escheatable” stage will be closed systematically. All Escheatable accounts will be kept in safe custody and noted in a journal. Remarks will be placed on the banks system as evidence to identify accounts for a period of 60 years and longer. You need to update your contact details with us on a regular basis. Validation of claims can be done telephonically or by e-mail on 087 575 1111; E-mail:
