Online Course Compensation. 1. Teacher will be compensated for the development of online courses when authorized and approved in advance by the high school principal as follows for time spent outside the contract day: a. Year 1: Paid at the curriculum involvement hourly rate in Article XIV up to 45 hours. b. Year 2 revisions: Paid at the curriculum involvement hourly rate in Article XIV up to 30 hours 2. Teachers will be compensated for the delivery of online courses during the regular school year as follows: a. Whether the online class is a part of the regular teaching schedule or paid as an extra period is at the discretion of the high school principal. b. Factors weighed in that decision would include the size of the online class and the size of the classes in the teacher’s regular schedule. *Change approved 9/26/16
