Open Science. 2.2.2.1. Open science: open access to scientific publications The Recipient must ensure open access to peer-reviewed scientific publications relating to its results. In particular, it must ensure that: - at the latest at the time of publication, a machine-readable electronic copy of the published version, or the final peer-reviewed manuscript accepted for publication, is deposited in a trusted repository for scientific publications; - immediate open access is provided to the deposited publication via the repository, under the latest available version of the Creative Commons Attribution International Public Licence (CC BY) or a licence with equivalent rights; for monographs and other long-text formats, the licence may exclude commercial uses and derivative works (e.g. CC BY-NC, CC BY-ND); and - information is given via the repository about any research output or any other tools and instruments needed to validate the conclusions of the scientific publication. The Recipient must retain sufficient intellectual property rights to comply with the open access requirements. Metadata of deposited publications must be open under a Creative Common Public Domain Dedication (CC 0) or equivalent, in line with the FAIR principles (in particular machine actionable) and provide information at least about the following: publication (author(s), title, date of publication, publication venue); Horizon Europe or Euratom funding; grant project name, acronym and number; licensing terms; persistent identifiers for the publication, the authors involved in the action and, if possible, for their organisations and the grant. Where applicable, the metadata must include persistent identifiers for any research output or any other tools and instruments needed to validate the conclusions of the publication. Only publication fees in full open access venues for peer-reviewed scientific publications are eligible for reimbursement. 2.2.2.2. Open Science. Grantee and Principal Investigator, as the case may be under Grantee’s intellectual property policy, will not (a) seek patent protection for any patentable inventions conceived or reduced to practice in the course of a Research Project that were made using or resulted from having access to Confidential Information provided by Facebook, and (b) assert any patents resulting from a Research Project against Facebook or its affiliates or their respective products and services. Grantee and Principal Investigator will (i) notify Facebook of any funding provided by third parties (other than the funding provided through SSRC) for a Research Project before receiving such funding, and (ii) ensure that receipt and use of such funding does not result in any obligations or requirements inconsistent with those under this Agreement. To the extent that any copyrightable works are created in the course of a Research Project under the Sponsored Research Agreement, Grantee and Principal Investigator will either (i) dedicate such works to the public domain under the Creative Commons CC0

  • WSIB & LTD An Employee who is receiving benefits under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, or under an LTD plan, is not entitled to benefits under a school board’s sick leave and short-term disability plan for the same condition unless the employee is on a graduated return to work program then WSIB/LTD remains the first payor. For clarity, where an employee is receiving partial benefits under WSIB/LTD, they may be entitled to receive benefits under the sick leave plan, subject to the circumstances of the specific situation. During the interim period from the date of the injury/incident or illness to the date of the approval by the WSIB/LTD of the claim, the employee may access sick leave and short-term leave and disability coverage. A reconciliation of sick leave deductions made and payments provided, will be undertaken by the school board once the WSIB/LTD has adjudicated and approved the claim. In the event that the WSIB/LTD does not approve the claim, the school board shall deal with the absence consistent with the terms of the sick leave and short-term leave and disability plans.

If Contractor Personnel test positive, they shall not be assigned to perform In-Person Services or, to the extent they have already been performing In-Person Services, shall be immediately removed from those assignments. Furthermore, Contractor shall immediately notify City if Contractor Personnel performing In-Person Services (1) have tested positive for or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, (2) have been informed by a medical professional that they are likely to have COVID-19, or (3) meet the criteria for isolation under applicable government orders.
