Other Substitute Teacher Conditions. 5.3.1. In the event that a substitute teacher’s assignment is cancelled by the Employer and notice of such cancellation is not transmitted to the substitute teacher prior to 6:00 PM on the day prior to the assignment, the substitute teacher shall report to work as directed by the Employer and carry out those duties that are assigned to the substitute teacher by the Employer. 5.3.2. The provisions of clause 5.3.1 shall not apply where the cancellation of assignment is due to inclement weather, cancellation of classes, school closure for any reason, or if another assignment is offered by the Employer for the same date as the cancelled assignment.
