Overtime-Eligible Employees – Department of Transportation Clause Samples
The "Overtime-Eligible Employees – Department of Transportation" clause defines which employees within the Department of Transportation are entitled to receive overtime pay under applicable labor laws or agency policies. It typically outlines the criteria for overtime eligibility, such as job classifications, hours worked beyond the standard workweek, and any exceptions specific to transportation roles. For example, it may clarify that certain administrative or field positions qualify for overtime compensation when they exceed 40 hours per week, while others may be exempt. The core function of this clause is to ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations, provide clear guidance on overtime entitlements, and prevent disputes regarding employee compensation for extra work hours.
