Compensatory Time Cash Out. All compensatory time must be used by June 30th of each year. If compensatory time balances are not scheduled to be used by the employee by April of each year, the supervisor will contact the employee to review their schedule. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out every June 30th or when the employee:
1. Leaves state service for any reason;
2. Transfers to a position in their institution with different funding sources; or
3. Transfers to another state agency or institution.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. 1. All compensatory time must be used by June 30th of each year. If compensatory time balances are not scheduled to be used by the employee by April of each year, the supervisor will contact the employee to review the employee’s schedule. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out at their regular rate of pay every June 30th or when the employee separates from the Employer. The Employer may continue its current practice with respect to compensatory time cash out when the employee transfers to another position.
2. As an exception to 8.4 D.1 above, an appointing authority or their designee may allow an employee to carry forward up to twenty-four (24) hours of compensatory time past June 30th when the compensatory time was earned during the months of May and June and the employee’s workload does not allow them to take time off.

If compensatory time balances are not scheduled to be used by the employee by May of each year, the supervisor will contact the employee to review his or her schedule. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out every June 30th or when the employee separates from the Employer.
B. As an exception to Subsection 26.6.E.2.A above, a Vice President or Director may allow an employee to carry forward up to twenty-four (24) hours of compensatory time past June 30th when an employee’s workload requires overtime during the months of May and June. Payroll and Human Resources must be notified no later than June 10th.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. 1. All compensatory time must be used by June 30th of each year. If compensatory time balances are not scheduled to be used by the employee by April of each year, the supervisor will contact the employee to review their schedule. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out every June 30th or when the employee separates from the College. The College may continue its current practice with respect to compensatory time cash out when the employee transfers to another position.
2. As an exception to 7.8 D. 1 above, an appointing authority or their designee may allow an employee to carry forward up to twenty-four (24) hours of compensatory time past June 30th when the compensatory time was earned during the months of May and June and the employee’s workload does not allow them to take time off.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. 1. Overtime-Eligible Employees – (Excluding Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Youth, Washington State School for the Blind, Department of Corrections and Department of Transportation Employees)
a. Leaves state service for any reason,
b. Transfers to a position in their agency with different funding sources, or
c. Transfers to another state agency.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. If compensation is paid to an employee for accrued compensatory time, such compensation shall be paid at the regular rate earned by the employee at the time the employee receives such payment. All compensatory time must be used by June 30th of each year. The employee’s compensatory time balance will be cashed out every June 30th or when the employee leaves University employment for any reason. The employee’s compensatory time balance may be cashed out when the employee:
1. Transfers to a position in their department with different funding sources or,
2. Transfers to a position in another department. Sick call coverage at designated bases will be offered based upon desired crew skill mix, to the official duty station nurses first then if they remain uncovered will be offered to other duty station nurses for coverage.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. An employee may cash out up to 40 hours of compensatory time on the second pay period in December and the second pay period in June. The compensatory time will be paid out at the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. Employees promoting into the San Leandro Management Organization will have any accrued compensation time off cashed out immediately prior to promotion. Management employees are not eligible to earn compensatory time off.
Compensatory Time Cash Out. 21 All compensatory time must be used by December 31st of each year. If 22 compensatory time balances are not scheduled to be used by the employee by 23 April of each year, the supervisor will contact the employee to review their 25 December 31st or when the employee separates from the District for any reason. 26
