Common use of Overtime Rest Period Clause in Contracts

Overtime Rest Period. If an employee is required to work more than one (1) hour overtime, he or she will be given a 15 minute paid rest period. This break may be waived, by mutual agreement and the employee will be paid at the appropriate overtime rates. It is understood that all overtime of less than four (4) hours shall be continuous with the end of the shift, with the exception of a meal period where one is given.
